The Team

Danielle Shearer

Danielle is a Full-time Trainer & Dressage Coach currently completing her D Level Judging Certificate and has been a member of the Dressage Qld State Development Squad & National Futures Squad since 2012.

Danielle began riding at an early age like most "city" kids, going to a riding school on weekends for a lesson or trail ride.  It wasn't until she was 12yo that her parents finally relented & purchased her first horse, a just broken 4yo galloway named "BJ" that proceeded to buck her off 2 or 3 times a day!!  Although he terrified her at the beginning he turned out to be the greatest learning curve for Danielle & so began her career.

Danielle attended Pony Club for a brief period before turning to Eventing, however at the time she was not a lover of the Dressage phase - her addiction was the Cross Country.  She went on to compete on the Qld Junior & Senior State Squad up to 2 Star level with her thoroughbred horse "Parkview Joker" as well as "Logan Bay," "Demon Rum," "Remmington Bay," "Montego Bag," "Mystical Playboy" & of course "Bee Jay" and competed along side Rebel & Lyndon Morrow, Simone Kann, Kadi Eykamp & Sally Thompson and trained under the guidance of Ulli Klatte, Paula Price & Michelle Lang.  Deciding that she needed a break from competition she turned to the racing industry where she quickly became the Head Foreperson for Widjarrah Training Stables with Bob Sutton, but it wasn't long before the need to compete pulled her back into the ring but this time as a Dressage Rider.

Beginning on a young 4yo Thoroughbred mare "Hey Sister" she then went on to purchase her first Warmblood (& a Colt), the wonderful "HP Lothar" as a yearling & trained/campaigned him to PSG/Inter 1 under the guidance of Dianne Jenkyn & at the age of 12yo he was training all the Grand Prix movements & was sold in 2012 to Inger Sutherland.  During this time Danielle has trained many horses up through the ranks & sold them on but by far her most success in Dressage has been achieved with her outstanding Carbine/Achimedes mare "Riverview Cinderella" who will make the step to Grand Prix in 2014.  We also have many up & coming youngsters that form part of Danielle & Diarmin Parks Dressage Team.

Dave Lynch

Dave is Danielle's partner (and Major, although rarely on the property due to work commitments, when he is home he can be found repairing anything broken, Transporting Danielle to & from the big shows, playing professional photographer & hanging on to any youngsters that can be a bit frisky (including Riverview Cinderella).

Rhonda Shearer

Chief cook & bottle washer Rhonda (Danielle's amazing mother) will always be found cooking, gardening or cleaning paddocks at the stud, a wheelbarrow or lawn mower is never far away. Rhonda attends most competitions as the part owner of Riverview Cinderella and she is always there to support the team.

Felicity Shearer

At 14yo "Flick" is of course the youngest member of the team & possibly the most successfull!!   Felicity began riding with her gorgeous Welsh A gelding "Truckie - BarnHill Tuff Stuff" that we acquired as a yearling when she was 2yo. This combination competed at local Pony Club events up to Novice at EA Interschool competitions.  Felicity then moved on to her new horses "Elixir" (Chaz) a 15.2hh Thorougbred Gelding & "Penny Royal Cruise Control" (Harley) a stunning multi registered 14.3hh Galloway.

Most Recently we have acquired the FEI trained Imported Gelding "Blanco Park Wildcard" - Willy and Felicity have already competed FEI in 2017 with scores over 62%.  We look forward to Felicity & Willy competing at Small Tour level (and possibly above) for many years to come.

Asti, Charlie & Martini

These are of course our Mascots and are never far from the above team members. Asti, Charlie, Tini & Reginald (miniature daschunds) are owned by us, once you meet them you will know by there personalities which dog belongs to which person.

Meet our Mr Pong - Diarmin Park's resident "Guard Duck" watch your feet cause Pong is always happy to imitate a rattle snake & bite your feet, especially if your wearing thongs!!!

HP Lothar (Bull)

Was sold in 2012 to the lovely Inger Sutherland. Unfortunately he passed away in 2013 & is greatly missed by all of us but especially Inger who described him as "Her Soul Mate"

Rest In Peace you beautiful soul.

"Lottie"or "Bull" as he is affectionately known was purchased by us as a yearling colt from Gerhard Quast of Holstein Park in 2001.  Since then he has gone on to become one of the youngest horses in Australia to reach Prix St George level and become an FEI horse.  At the 2008 Sydney CDI he finished 8th place in the PSG CDN and has been named the Holsteiner Performance horse of the year in 2007 & 2008 with many other accolades to his name including winning his first ODE at Kooralbyn in 2007.  His personality and trainability as a Stallion has allowed young riders to successfully compete on him and handle him.  Lottie was gelded in Mid 2011, he is training all the Grand Prix movements and has a natural flare for Flying Changes, Piaffe & Passage.

Riverview Cinderella

Sinner as she is affectionately known is a black 16.2hh mare by Carbine Imp out of Jaybee Arrow (Achimedes)she was born in 2004 and bred by Sara Ness. Purchased as an unbroken 4yo by Danielle and Rhonda, she is the Diva at Diarmin Park and although at times she can be temperamental she is proving to be the resident superstar and can do no wrong.  She is currently campaigning at Prix St George/Intermediate 1 level and is rarely out of the places.  Together Danielle & Sinner are members of the National Futures Squad and Qld Development Squad, She was the Medium Tournament Champion at 2011 Qld State Championships and was a runner up for the 2011 Qld Medium Horse of the Year, 2012 Runner up Qld Advanced Horse of the Year, a Finalist for 2013 Qld Small Tour Horse of the Year & Winners of the Faulkaneer Memorial Qld Bred FEI Horse of the Year 2013 as well as achieving Bronze, Silver & Gold Medals of Achievement.

Diarmin Park Formidable - Has been sold to a lovely home in NSW

"Johnny" is a 17hh brown warmblood gelding foaled in 2008, with plenty of chrome, bred by frozen semen.  He is by Fiener Stern out of an Argentinus mare GT Aurora Australis.  Having been broken in early in 2012, he began his Dressage career in 2013 with Official scores up to 72% in both Preliminary & Novice with championships to his name and was also a Finalist for the Dressage Qld Spin Newcomer of the Year award.  Johnny is a super horse with loads of potential & is the Super Model of the family.

Bloomfield Shameless

Max is the new resident Stallion here at Diarmin Park brought in for Danielle to Campaign as a Dressage horse on behalf of his owner.  He is a 5yo 17hh Warmblood by San Rubin 11 out of an ISH mare bred by Axel at Bloomfield Stud.   Danielle is very excited about bringing out this exciting young stallion in 2014 so watch this space. He is most definitely a Stunner with movement & talent to burn.

Bloomfield Royal Safira - sold to the amazing Lang-McMahon family

Saffie is the NEW baby on the block! She is a stunning (soon to be) Grey 3yo warmblood filly expected to mature around 16.2hh, bred by Axel at Bloomfield Farm and is by Royal Hit out of a mare by Sirocco and has just been broken in, she is now spelling & will be back in training mid 2014 in preparation for the 2015 Dressage season.  We are very excited about this super filly that has movement to burn.
